I *LOVE* quick and easy vegan comfort food. I bet the new book is even better :) It's hard to pick a favorite holiday. If we're looking at traditional holidays, I'll have to pick Halloween, but Hug a Vegetarian Day wins the prize for non-traditional holidays.

Can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteFavorite Holiday: Christmas

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Holiday is Thanksgiving! I love all the fall flavors and the smell of the food cooking, and people coming together to be thankful!
CONGRATULATIONS on the new book! That is wonderful, I would love a copy. I think my favorite holiday to celebrate has circled back to New Years Eve because we always do something really fun. I also like Thanksgiving because of all the eating and sloth.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new book and thanks for doing this giveaway! I think my favorite holiday is Christmas just because everyone seems to be in a better mood!

I tried posting a comment earlier and it didn't post so I have to try again. I apologize if you get double the messages. My favorite holiday to celebrate is Christmas. This year will be the first year our family has to veganize the celebration. We could really use the help of your new book! I love Q&E Vegan Comfort Food so I can't wait to read Q&E Vegan Celebrations.

Congrats on the new cookbook! Looks fantastic :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Christmas, and I'm even more excited about it this year since I'm graduating from nursing school- yay!
Oh gosh. Now my favorite is anytime my family gets together and I can cook for them. Especially Thanksgiving since I used to just eat a bowl of Capn' Crunch because I didn't like turkey or much of the other "meat" foods that were served! I just love my Q&E Vegan Comfort Food (right now my favorites are the fish tacos and the french toast) and can't wait to see your new one. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new book and thanks for doing this giveaway! I think my favorite holiday is Christmas!

ReplyDeleteYour first book is amazing and the sweet potato pie alone makes it worth buying. When I was a kid, Christmas was really special. It was a huge holiday for my mom's family, done with many Swedish traditions that my grandmother remembered from her childhood. I think that it's still my favorite.
My favorite holiday is my birthday! I love Vegan Comfort Food and can't wait to get a copy of Vegan Celebrations, one way or the other. :)
ReplyDeleteEmail: ms.meilani@gmail.com
Congrats on the new book! I am going to get a copy even if I don't win.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday celebration would have to be Christmas!
bess_melinda@yahoo.com
Hope I win ;)
I'm so excited to purchase this book! Quick and Easy Vegan Comfort Food was a life saver when I first transitioned from vegetarian to vegan. I learned that I could still have rich and delicious comfort food like macaroni and cheese without sacrificing my morals and ethics!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday celebration are the feasts served at Christmas time. I love how different cultures that celebrate the holiday have such diverse menu offerings. My boyfriend is from Poland and his family celebrates Wigilia, a primarily vegetarian (save for fish) dinner with mushroom dumplings, beets, and so many other awesome foods. Mmm...hungry just thinking about this, and all the upcoming holiday feasts!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is, without a doubt, Christmas. I love everything about the season (except the commercialism stuff), mostly because growing up my family had lots of really wonderful traditions.

My favorite holidays are Thanksgiving & Easter.I am very new to veganism,I have chronic abdominal pain & my new physician has just tested me for food allergies. So, once I know what I am allergic to I can remove those foods from my diet.My physician wants me to have exercise therapy so in conjunction with new eating habits hopefully I will be a healthier person.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Halloween. As a little girl, my mother used to go all out decorating and planning for it because her birthday is Oct 30'th. I remember trick or treating until late late at night and coming home to candles flickering in the pumpkins and scary movies. I hope to continue many of the traditions my mother began with my children.
My favorite holiday is definitely Thanksgiving. All the food, all the alcohol...all the pie!

This book sounds like so much fun! My favourite holiday is Christmas, because I'm German/Australian so I get two of them- one on Christmas Eve and one on Christmas Day. As crazy as it must sound to you, I love floating around the pool with a beer in hand on a hot Christmas afternoon.

ReplyDeleteNavaratri (the 9 Devi/goddess days during the dark of the moon in September/October) is my favorite. There's something wild and wonderful that comes in the air -- so much joy! -- and something very sweet about all of the lights.
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI'm able to have all my favorite things and lots of them. The best part about this holiday was always the "side dishes" - mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, dressing, pie ... and they still are the best part.
my most favorite holiday is Mabon. the autumn equinox is important in my life for several personal reasons and it signifies a time of harvest to appreciate the earth's valuable gifts to us. the crisp fall air is the greatest! I am newly vegetarian (been meatless for 22 days now.) my ultimate goal is to change to a vegan lifestyle because I know it is better for me and the planet. I would love to win a copy of your new book because I'm still learning the ropes and also trying to share with my family and friends why this is important to me. in addition to sharing my reasons, it would be great to share delicious food to peak their interest into a transition to a vegan lifestyle as well. thank you for your consideration.

ReplyDeleteI love Halloween. I'm obsessed with death and the afterlife so Halloween gives me a chance to get all that bottled up energy that's inside of me out. I think there's something healthy about expressing the dark side of life in a positive, fun, and somewhat spooky way. <3.

Congrats on the new book. I have Quick and Easy Vegan Comfort Foods and LOVE IT! I've only been vegetarian since July and vegan since Labor Day. I'm still searching for the perfect cheese. I'm not a Daiya fan at all. Follow Your Heart is OK and melts when put under the broiler, but those are the only two I know. Thanksgiving will be my first holiday challenge. I'm hoping that I make it through easily!

Seems to be a real favorite here, and I have to agree with so many others... my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. I love the food, the smells, the fun of cooking, the great company of family and friends at all the get-togethers. I've been vegetarian for several years, but this will be my first vegan Thanksgiving. I could use the help of an innovative vegan cookbook to guide me in the preparation of a wonderful holiday meal.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a terrific cookbook. I would love to have a copy. I love my copy of Quick and Easy Comfort Food and have recommended it to friends.
